Youth Activities at J. Ryan Solutions isn't a baby-sitting service; rather, we aspire to keep our youth and teens busy in a positive way. Instead of sitting the youth in front of a TV screen, we have them help us shoot a video; instead of busy work, we encourage them to learn how to use DSLR cameras.
WHAT WE DO
Our goal is to keep youth and teens off the streets and engage them in fun, rewarding activities that have the potential to teach them new, valuable skills.

At 808, our Youth Activities program includes:
- Photography classes with a high-end Nikon camera
- Film-making classes, including shooting and editing video
- Music classes, including recording, editing, and mixing songs
- Sports days at a local park, providing the youth with safe, supervised exercise
OUR RESULTS
Youth and teens from our programs have been able to channel their experiences in the Youth Activities in positive ways. Our Teen Council used the photos they took during Photography Club to have a photo sale, and in turn used the proceeds from that sale to fund future outings and field trips.

Some of the teens who have worked with us in a class that taught them to shoot and edit video worked on other video projects at our center, which caught the attention of the building; the teens were subsequently offered the opportunity to shoot and edit video from a building event for pay.
Other youth used the music program to explore their passion for beat-making and rapping. We turned those songs into a full album of music, leading to one teen getting paid to perform at a local music event.
The youth from our program enjoy what we do with them, and, in turn, we're thrilled to see them use their new-found skills in a positive fashion elsewhere.

Our Youth Activities program revolves around our talented, caring employees, each of whom has plenty of different skills to offer and experience to share. We can create a Youth Activities program that revolves around your organization's goals for the program. If you want your youth to get involved in crafts, we can offer coloring, drawing, and other activities.
We specialize in tech activities, teaching youth video, audio, and music skills that they can carry with them further in life. Our employees are passionate about passing skills on to our youth, and can do the same for you and your organization!
